Brake noise, poor pedal feel, judder or worn parts deserve a proper inspection. Our Llandow garage assesses the braking system and agrees the repair and parts before work starts.

Brake pads and discs
Pads and discs wear at different rates depending on the car, driving and existing setup. We inspect the relevant axle, check wear and condition, and discuss replacement where needed. A noise or vibration can also come from a sticking caliper, hub or suspension issue, so the symptom matters as much as the visible wear.
If you have chosen your own pads or discs, send us the part numbers and vehicle registration. We welcome suitable customer-supplied parts and can quote the fitting work separately.

Brake fluid, pipes and calipers
A soft pedal, fluid loss, a wheel that runs hot or uneven pad wear needs investigation of the hydraulic and mechanical parts. This can include the fluid, lines, hoses, caliper operation and the condition of nearby components.
We discuss what inspection or testing is needed, then provide a quote for the chosen repair. Tell us if a warning light is on or if the vehicle has recently had brake work.
Brake judder and disc condition
Judder under braking is a symptom, not proof that a disc needs replacing. We can assess disc condition, thickness and the rest of the assembly. For suitable discs, on-car brake disc skimming may be an option; otherwise replacement or another repair may be more appropriate.
See our dedicated brake disc skimming page for the suitability checks and how to prepare an enquiry.
What to tell us
Share the registration, mileage, which wheel or axle seems affected, when the symptom occurs and any brake parts recently fitted. If a brake warning or pedal problem makes the car unsafe to drive, contact us before arranging transport. Brake and ABS investigation is quoted separately from the free engine code-scan offer.
